Naval Designer is an integrated software dedicated to naval architecture. It offers at the same time a graphic modeller, a studio of real virtuality and specific tools for boat design.

More about the differences between the versions:

Naval designer Light will enable you to design a hull very quickly. Almost all design tools are included. The number of surfaces is limited to 3. The Light version is interesting for small budgets or to evaluate the application before upgrading to a higher version.

The Standard and Pro versions enable you to profit from all the power of Naval Designer thanks to the design multi-surfaces.

Standard and Pro versions

The Pro version uses gets advantage of Naval Designer Standard functionalities and adds export and import of data to file formats DXF and IGES, two standards "universally" present. Files DXF and IGES can make possible to make numerical cuttings of sections or to make print on tracer the plans on scale 1/1. The importation of NURBS curves and surfaces via IGES file format makes it possible to carry out calculations on hulls carried out in other drafting packages.
This version is essential for the professionals to go until the stages of realization of the ships.
Other functionalities are specifically implemented in the Pro version: display of the waterlines during calculations of stability, trim adjustment of the hull, sink point calculations, etc.
